Experimental Investigation of Using Liquid Suction Heat Exchanger with Condensed Cold-Water on the Performance of Air Conditioning System

This paper reports experimental investigation of using liquid suction heat exchanger (LSHX) with condensed cold-water (LSHX-CW) on the performance a split type room air conditioning. To this end, we used large residential house 64 m3 equipped 2-tons conventional commercial split-type conditioner fitted R22. The coaxial design LSHX-CW allows to exchange between vapor and refrigerants in center part water warm refrigerant outer part. was well insulated outside reduce transfer ambient. conditioning tested several times for three scenarios namely, system, system LSHX alone LSHX-CW. Experimental results showed that use improved noticeably when compared alone. maximum effectiveness 7.67%. pressure discharge line electricity consumed decreased by 8.23% 9.40% respectively.
